Drug Uses
Theo–24 is indicated for Preventing and treating symptoms and blockage of airway due to asthma or other lung diseases such as emphysema or bronchitis. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How Taken
Use Theo–24 as directed by your doctor. Take Theo–24 with or without food. Take it the same way every time. Do not crush, chew, break, or open an extended–release tablet or capsule unless your doctor tells you to. Swallow the pill whole. It is specially made to release medicine slowly in the body. Breaking or opening the pill would cause too much of the drug to be released at one time.

Warnings/Precautions
Before taking Theo–24, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if you have allergies to medicines, if you are allergic to any ingredient in Theo–24, if you have a stomach ulcer, epilepsy or other seizure disorder, a heart rhythm problem, congestive heart failure, fluid in your lungs, underactive thyroid, a high fever, liver disease (such as cirrhosis or hepatitis), kidney disease, or if you have recently quit smoking cigarettes or marijuana, if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breast–feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Theo–24, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Theo–24during pregnancy. Theo–24is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast–feeding while you are using Theo–24, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby. Some medicines may interact with Theo–24. Therefore tell your doctor of all prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement that you are taking. Do not take Theo–24 if you are using large amounts of other products that contain xanthine (such as chocolate or caffeinated drinks). Some foods may change the effectiveness or increase the side effects of Theo–24. Talk to your doctor about how you should take Theo–24 with regard to food. Do not suddenly change your diet or eating habits without first checking with your doctor. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to the effects of Theo–24 and might require a lower dose. Before you have any medical or dental treatments, emergency care, or surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using Theo–24. Carry an identification card at all times that says you are taking this medication. Avoid large amounts of caffeine–containing foods and beverages, such as coffee, tea, cocoa, cola drinks, and chocolate. Notify your doctor if you develop a new illness, especially if it is accompanied by fever, if a chronic illness becomes worse, if you start or stop smoking cigarettes or marijuana, or if another doctor prescribes a new medication or tells you to stop using a medication that you have already been taking. Theo–24will not stop an asthma attack once one has started. Be sure to always carry appropriate rescue medicine (eg, bronchodilator inhaler) with you in case of an asthma attack. Theo–24may affect your blood sugar. If you are a diabetic check blood sugar levels closely and ask your doctor before adjusting the dose of your diabetes medicine.

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the Missed Dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Possible Side Effects
Some of the Possible Side Effects are- Mild and temporary changes in behavior, temporary increased urination. Contact your doctor if any of these or other side effects occur. If you experience any of the following serious side effects, you should seek medical attention immediately- allergic reactions (rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing, and tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue), confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, fast breathing, heart rhythm problems or irregular heartbeats, nausea, persistent headache, seizures, sleeplessness, tremors, vomiting.

Storage
Store Theo–24 at 59 – 86 °F (15 –30 °C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Theo–24 out of the reach of children.

Overdose
If overdose is suspected seek medical attention immediately. Some of the symptoms of Theo–24 overdose are- agitation, chest pain, confusion, decreased urination, fast or irregular heartbeat, headache, increased thirst, irritability, loss of appetite, muscle pain or tenderness, nausea, nervousness, persistent increased urination, restlessness, seizures, severe or persistent diarrhea, stomach pain, tremors or twitching, vomiting, especially of blood.

More Information
Theo–24 may cause dizziness or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Theo–24 is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Theo–24 with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. Theo–24 should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
